Skype Calling!
On friday we will be calling a canadian class on a programme called skype! I have been visiting the blogs of the chlidren in a class in canada and can’t wait to actually talk to them. Canada is so much different to Australia. I wan’t to learn all i can about Canada and hope they learn a little bit about us. For all the people that don’t no, skype is a programme where you can call someone from the computer. My dad likes to use it to call our pop who lives a fair way away from us. It’s a good programme to use. I would like to find out about the children from Canada about there season. If It was Summer(December,January and Feburary) what would the season be there? How different are their learning systems? What did the winter Olympics torch look like? Is it exciting to have the winter Olympics held near you?

Motivational media: A while ago we had a group visit us and talk about rebounding. It was very inspriering to hear about all the stories and things people went through. November 19th is national toilet day. Now at the start of being told it was national toilet day i laughed because it seemed silly to have a day for toilets, but then i heard more about it. National toilet day is a day is making you aware of the 2.5 billion people who don’t have access to sanitation and have a lack of hygiene. It kills around 1.8 million a year and most of them are children. In countries without toilet they have to squat which can lead to them getting diarrhea an can kill 5,000 kids EVERY DAY. The big squat are raising awareness for this by squatting for 1 minute on the day. I may look silly but it is a good cause. You may have heard of a programme where you adopt a kid living in poor conditions, well the first of the money you give towards that cause will go to making them get clean water and preventing these diseases. It is amazing how one toilet can change the lives of so many people. The water is very important. It needs to be clean.
Yesterday, thursday the 5th i was away because i have a cold. Its a bad cold i can’t even taste which i hate. I missed out on the lady who does the voice over of blinky bill but I was in no place to go to school.Its really weird how i’ve got this cold because it is spring here and it’s really bad because tonight we were going to go out for tea but because i cant taste anything we aren’t any more which i really wanted to. Stay home days are fun because you can sit at home and watch t.v but its not very fun when you feel really sick. have you ever stayed home because of a sickness? Is swine flu a big thing in your country?
I would absolutely love to go to the united kingdom! I don’t know why, but i have loved the united kingdom and europe. It would be great for me i would go to france and the uk and all these other places. I plan to go with my friend because we are both so passionate about it. I think the u.k would be the perfect place to go on holiday.Even though the u.k is cold i think it would be Great to go. I love shopping so i would hope there were heaps of shops. And i love swimming so hopefully it wouldn’t be so cold to go.!!
My favourite holiday was when i went to queens land with my family. I loved the whole place. We stayed at a place that had a pool that all visiters could use no matter what. They had bird tour and i feed a big parrot. But my favourite bit out of all that was going to sea world, movie world and wet ‘n’ wild they are the best theme parks ever! I think movie world would have been my favourite because their gift shop was the best! I brought heaps of tweety stuff ( who which i loved back then) Movie world had everything rides, food, gift shops and way more. I really did like seaworld too though. Sea world had all my favourite animals like polar bears dolphins and frogs. The polar bears were absolutely adorable!!!!! Me and my dad went into a 3-d movie type thing where a snake came out which was pretty freaky (it wasn’t real). Even though this was 5 years ago i can still remember it because it was my favourite holiday. I also really liked wet ‘n’ wild because there is so many water rides and me a my sister went on nearly all of them. I also went to Australia zoo and held a koala ( i was too scared to hold the sanke or the crocodile & the koala was adorable) Australia zoo was aweosme!! Because i was young i didn’t feed the elephants because i was too scared. But we saw birds do neat tricks and crocodiles snap at the trainers. It was my favourite holiday!!!
